At about 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, Brighton police received a report of a person with a gun at Prairie View High School, 12909 E. 120th Ave. According to callers, a male party had displayed a handgun in a parking lot at the school, but left as police arrived. Police contacted the suspect vehicle at 119th Avenue and Peoria Street almost immediately, and took two male parties into custody. There is no threat to students, and police and administration cleared the campus from lock down per protocol and returned to normal school schedule. This is an ongoing investigation by BPD and PVHS has no further information to share at this time.
