PVHS Community Update

March 21, 2020

Hello PVHS Community,

We hope that all of you are doing well and staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented time in our world. All of this has been difficult to accept and our staff misses seeing all of you daily. We wanted to reach out and provide you with our next steps as a school in coming weeks ahead.

Our Staff will be meeting virtually (not in person) on Tuesday March 31st, April 1st and April 2nd to collectively prepare for the remainder of the school year in an online environment.
Advisory Teachers will be reaching out to their Advisory student groups and contacting PVHS parents/legal guardians via telephone on Friday April 2nd to assess your needs and the needs of our Thunderhawks. Staff will be calling each Advisory household to make contact with every family. Keep in mind they may be calling from a blocked number or an out of state number.
We will begin our first day of Remote Assured Learning on April 7th.
As we move forward, our focus will be to support students by enriching and improving their learning from the first three quarters of the year.

Please know that our central focus will be on our students and their needs to connect and have staff support them during this time of uncertainty. Students will have the opportunity to engage and take ownership of their learning in a new and different way. We will continue to invest in the personal growth and academic success of each of our students during this adventure and we will provide grace and understanding to all. Trust that WE all will be doing our best to ensure each student receives what they need.

We appreciate all of your support and understanding as we figure out next steps along the way. Thunderhawks, remember our core values of Honesty, Accountability, Welcoming, Knowledgeable, and School-Spirited as we work through this challenge. WE can do this and WE will do this. Take care of your family. Take care of yourselves. BELIEVE in yourselves.

Sincerely,

PVHS Staff
