Dear PVHS Students and Families, 

The final week of the 2019-20 school year is here.  We appreciate all of the resilience and grit that our community has demonstrated during this unprecedented time in our world.  Thank you to all of you that have worked to make this school year as successful as possible and working through such a difficult adjustment to teaching and learning.

Please take time to review the information discussed in the sections below, which includes the following items:

Please Note: Students will KEEP their Chromebooks this Summer if they are not damaged, to use next fall

We know that this all has been a difficult time that has required a great amount of flexibility and new learning on our part to best meet the needs of our students.  Our district will continue to send out updates as we plan and move forward into the 2020-2021 school year.  Thank you for making my first year as principal memorable and one that I will never forget.

Weekly Senior Update and Check Out Information

9th-11th Student Item Pick Up Tuesday May 26th, Wednesday May 27th, and Thursday May 28th

The times are Tuesday 5/26 from noon until 4, and Wednesday 5/27 from noon until 4,  Thursday May 28th  from 3-7 pm.  Please sign up for times below to come to the school to pick up any items students may need to collect. 

The District recently sent out fee reports.  Some of these fees may be from textbooks and library materials such as books or calculators.  At this time if you're returning, we are asking that you please keep these items in a safe place and hold onto them until the Fall or at some other date when we are allowed to do some sort of drop-off.  You are not responsible to pay for these items if you have them in your possession and will return them when we ask for them.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please contact ekrueger@sd27j.net.  

If you are not returning to PVHS next year please sign up for a time to drop off all school items to eliminate fee charges and complete the withdrawal process.  Contact our Registrar, Barb Fasbender bfasbender@sd27j.net to coordinate your students' withdrawal.

Yearbooks

Yearbook pickup will be available during the time listed above: Tuesday May 5/26 from noon until 4, and Wednesday, 5/27, from noon until 4pm.  Pick up will be at the back D-Wing doors from your vehicle.  If you would like to order a yearbook they are available online at PVHS Yearbook Online Order until Saturday May 23rd.  Please contact Mr. O’Brien kobrien@sd27j.net with any questions.

Deadline for all course work

All student work must be submitted by Tuesday, May 19th, 11:59 p.m.

Work will not be accepted after this time.  Final semester grades will be posted on Friday, May 22nd by 5:00 p.m.

In an effort to continuously grow and improve, PVHS is seeking feedback from students and families about their experience with Remote Learning.  We value the perspective of our community members and the information gathered will be used to refine our collective efforts to ensure high quality and effective learning experiences for our students as we prepare future plans.  Please complete the survey below:

27J Summer School

This year PVHS/27J will not be offering summer school at the high school due to COVID-19. Instead, summer school credit recovery will take place virtually from June 1 - July 19.   Instruction will be delivered online through Edmentum and tutoring will be available via computer or phone. Students can earn credit for up to 2 courses that were previously failed. Limited courses are available.
