Read-Across-America celebrates Dr. Seuss's Birthday

At Pennock Elementary School's Read-Across-America Day on March 2 there were community members reading Dr. Seuss books to students throughout the day. At the start of school, Brighton Mayor Dick McLean kicked off the special day by reading the Dr. Seuss book, "Put Me In The Zoo."
Throughout the day, more than 85 people visited Pennock Elementary School to read in classrooms. They included: Brighton Fire Chief Mark Bodane, 27J Superintendent Chris Fiedler, 27J Board of Education members Lloyd Worth and Blaine Nickeson, Brighton Police Officer Nate Esquibel and many more people from the community.
