Reunion Elementary School graduated their first class of kindergarten students on the morning of May 23.
There were 119 kindergarten students who graduated in the ceremony. "This was our first year at Reunion and our first kindergarten class," said Reunion Principal David Felten. "We will graduate our fifth graders tonight."
"We have watched the growth that has happened this year with your students," said Felten. "You chose us as a new school. You gave us an opportunity to see if we could make a difference in your child's life."
South Elementary Fifth Grade Graduation
"This is such a bittersweet moment as we say goodbye to these students," said Principal Kay Collins, at the South Elementary Fifth Grade Graduation on May 23. "We've had most of these students at South since Kindergarten."
"It's a sad moment to say goodbye to them but then they are onto their new journey to middle school," Collins said.
Students and parents also said goodbye to Principal Collins, who is retiring at the end of the school year.
At the ceremony, fifth grade students received awards for academics, art, music and physical education.
