Message From The Principal

Brighton High School Families....

We wish to extend our sincere gratitude to the multitude of staff, students, parents, law enforcement agencies, and community members during the response to a tip we received this afternoon.  The unity we experienced this afternoon speaks volumes of the internal and external Brighton High School community.  While we learned a lot from this incident, we will always respond to student safety as the most important job we have.  Our work is human-centered and we value helping to build a Brighton community of care.  We must continue to lead with empathy and compassion and we can't do without you...all of you.

This is a very special weekend for our students and we will continue to honor them and provide the celebration of the Junior/Senior Prom that our students so wonderfully deserve.

Additionally, your students may have backpacks and other personal belongings that they need to get to prior to prom and/or next week.  We will open the building tomorrow, Saturday, April 20th from 8am to 12noon for students to pick up their belongings if they so choose.  Any student unable to pick up their belongings tomorrow will be able to do so on Tuesday when school opens.

Again, with all of hearts, thank you.  We will continue to learn and grow from what took place today in our school and community.

Yours in partnership.....
